Looking north toward Princeton and the Mavericks.

Creek I
Along the beach in Half Moon Bay there are several creeks that empty out into the Pacific.

Creek II
Intriguing pattern made by the creek on the beach.

Beach House
This is as far north as you can walk on the beach.

Near the north end, wooden poles had been driven into the ground as a wave break.

The sun was trying to break through. It didn't succeed but it made for beautiful skies.

In the afternoon there were some thundering swells. I spent a lot of time just looking at them.

Snowy Plover
Snowy plovers are hard to photograph because they're so tiny and almost always in motion. When they run, their legs move so fast you can't see them. Here's on that's uncharacteristically still.

It's California, so something will always be in flower. This is a European sea rocket, Cakile maritima.
